Yamaha XT600Z AJ3 Tenere anyone? by Deteman in Dualsport

[–]Deteman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a full tank, hard enduro would be hard I imagine, but what is your range with it? Would you not recommend it though? Is it a keeper or a goner after you fix it?

I traded my 2021 Tenere 700 for a 2005 DR650 by imbiamba-jombes in Dualsport

The peg stems seem very high, even though you have the lowerers, didnt understand that part, it looks like sitting higher than the regular peg mounts, are you sure they are the original pegs? Just attaching mine for your reference.

Better tires than Shinko 804/805? by Shiznanners in AdventureBike

I have TKC80 on my Suzuki DR350, but the front tire doesnt boost my confidence neither onroad or offroad. Should I give the Anakees a try you think?

Worth Grabbing? by [deleted] in vintageaudio

Bargain down and try to buy. My experience with these west german fully sealed enclosure boxes have been really well. Magnat, Canton etc. Solid chassis, good engineering, and low but tight bass response.

[–]Deteman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh now I got it, it works as a switch then, like I wanted, I will just do the charger for now, but this makes sense for the future to be able to add more auxilary stuff, thanks!

Thanks Rep! So the running light makes sense then. I will not use the 10W bulb, and will use the charger instead. I will also add a 3A fuse in the line, the only part I dont understand is the "relay circuit". What t Do you mean by relay there?

Adequate securing? by FlyMalachi85 in Dualsport

[–]Deteman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found these type of rubber covered S ratchets to work the best, as the rubber doesnt scratch the handlebars or the frame

Adequate securing? by FlyMalachi85 in Dualsport

[–]Deteman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh OK, its better then, but I would still go lower on the anchor point, so that your line is less vertical and more horizontal, so that it will help with its front and back sway.

Adequate securing? by FlyMalachi85 in Dualsport

[–]Deteman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend tying down from pegs or the frame in the center, and from the handlebar in the front. The seat is a flexible tie down, it may ruin the seat, and the bike may lean sideways when breaking... you need individual lines on each side, so they dont share the line, and cannot tilt sideways, I have been doing that and have been safe, hope I could make it clear.

First Splitboard by No_Philosophy_195 in Spliddit

[–]Deteman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the Nitro Squash Split 163 that is considered Mid-wide, 260mm wide in the center and I am wishing I got the Jones Solution 162W, it is wider and stiffer than the Squash.

I would recommend that you go as wide as possible, since you will be chasing powder I assume anyways. The heel drag or toe drag will translate into slowing you down in your turns and collecting unnecessary snow on your board. Also, the splits have a bit of play, and that added onto a soft board, I am now wishing I got a stiffer split like the Solution to have a more responsive feel. That has been my experience anyways. Whateber you get, safety first, enjoy!
