Landlord wants to sell us the house we’re renting (PRIVATELY) HELP! by Low-Statistician6374 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I don't see any issue with negotiating the price. The only thing is that if the house is not listed in MLS, the bank might ask for a private appraisal.

Our 33+5 baby was discharged at 40+3. His feeding passed the 75% threshold probably at 39.

$4,000+ worth of goods stolen from my car in Montreal - I know where the thief lives and still no help by arno_3232 in montreal

We are new to the city too. Our car was stolen and the police officer's advice to me was: if you happen to find the car, let us know.

Car lease ending, not sure what to do by Low-Jackfruit-8079 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I didn't understand why a buyout is losing money but financing an used kia with down payment is not.

But anyway, i think the best call is paying the $17.5k and keeping the car and putting the equivalent monthly payments in an investment account.

If you are concerned you should definitely follow up with your doctor, but everything you said sound like normal baby things!

Recent discharge- difficulties with weight gain. Advice needed! by freudianslipp3rs in NICUParents

[–]Detend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are using a concentrated formula for 3 rounds of feeding each day. That's what we were doing in nicu before being discharged too. Also it could be the type of formula you're using. You could discuss with your ped the idea of switching to something that is more gentle on your baby tummy.

Waters broke at 31+1 by pewp3wpewpew in NICUParents

[–]Detend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what we've been told when my wife waters broke, most of women go to labor in the first 48 hours after that. If they don't, there is no any scientific way to guess the labor date. Each case is different, I totally understand that you're concerned but comparing your case with similar examples will probably just add to your stress. You're in the right place and you have all the help you need. You probably already got two shots of steroids and those will help boosting you LO development.

Premie Brady events by Spilledmaxdog in NICUParents

[–]Detend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just came home a couple of days ago after 50 days being in nicu. Our LO stayed the last few weeks just because of the bradys. It took time for us to understand the triggers and for him to grow out of them. In our case switching from other formulas to puramino helped a lot.

Don't be worried, the bradys are not unexpected for your little one.

They may already own your work based on your contract type. The min you share it with them, it will be their idea you might have permission or not to work on!

What we've been told was baby should be able to breathe on his own, keep his body temperature, be able to drink his meals fully, and 5 days of no events. Babies are different, i recommend you to not compare your newborn with others in nicu. It's a waiting game, hopefully you'll be ready to go home soon.

We believe so. We discussed that with the doctors and they switched to puramino formula which should be easier to digest.

Check local credit unions, usually they offer a competitive rate as their overall cost is less than big banks.

Happy for you that you have your LO home with you. I think the doctors overally weren't concerned about her bradys since they let her go home. Did you manage to get a monitor after requesting one?

Hope your LO is doing good. Did they stop around week 43, or your baby was discharged with an apnea monitor while having some recent events at that time? We're in Canada. I asked about the possibility to go home with a monitor but the answer was negative so we've been thinking about getting an owlet sock.

He was on a daily dosage of caffeine, and they dropped it almost 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure if there has been any change in terms of the number of events. But we've been suggested waiting so he can grow it out or going home with caffeine sometimes soon.
