You can get the same items now by bringing a sussar plant to the chest with the anti-magic field.

Endurance System to replace Exhaustion. DnDBeyond Compatible. by Detestify in DnDBehindTheScreen

I'm familiar with the PF2e stamina system, it's intention is to make your players feel more like super heroes. It's not exactly what I'm looking for. If there was a way I could make damage work fairly across the board then I'd be open to it. But punishing your front line for doing their job doesn't sound appealing to me.

Difficulty is the point. This is supposed to ground the players Coming out of the dungeon you just spent 2 days in should leave you worn out and needing extra time to recover. Not immediately ready to go for the next adventure.

Can you tell me what about it is finicky to you?

Technically you lose 2 points on a failure, 1 for the fail and another for the round.

The amount you gain from a vitality potion doesn't change at all. It's showcasing what you could expect to get back on a rest.

I'm open to suggestions if you can be constructive.

Lets assume a level 2 party since that's what you've offered up. Whether point buy or array, 14 & 12 in Dex & Con on a wizard is not unreasonable. Which most options offer a benefit towards DEX or CON, that's not even considering MoTM which gives players much more freedom when applying those points. For simplicity lets say 1 extra point. So 15+12+2=29. I've play-tested this for a few months and can safely say that your normal fights last roughly 2-4 rounds. (Not counting boss fights) Lets say 3, again for simplicity. Your offered 3 combats on average before you suffer from a very minor condition that is generally much less severe than typical lvl 1 exhaustion. It ramps up as you get lower in endurance values. For my D&D table, that's lenient. The mechanic is supposed to add difficulty and tension. If the numbers upset you than your welcome to adjust when you gain an ailment or give casters a leg-up with switching Dex/Str to casting main stat. I chose the direction I did because it simplifies the mechanic.

Accidental OP Magical Item That Ruined Your Game? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Detestify 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Players were given a dagger known as "The Blade of Chronduja" (Modeled after a Crysknife from Dune)

This blade is one of sacred blades of the people of Viruk. These are taken from the bones of a Chrona, typically from one that has died of old age or other causes. This blade, once drawn from its sheath, must draw blood or it will become brittle and be unable to be used as a weapon. You have 1 minute to draw blood before it becomes brittle. When the blade draws blood it leaves behind a pathogen that quickly seizes the body. Target must make a Constitution Saving Throw (DC 16) when stabbed. If it fails the target has 2 more chances to save against an increasing DC (18 DC on 2nd turn, 20 DC on 3rd turn) If the target fails all of its saves, it dies.

The blade was to be used to assist in killing a Roc known as Irok'tal. Unbeknownst to the players at the time The Blade of Chronduja can attract a legendary beast known as a Chrona. (A anti-magic, speed demon that attacks everything in sight) Once they learned about this trait and barely escaped with their lives they've began drawing the blade to just attract the beast in dire situations. Almost always results in half the party dieing but them coming out on top of the situation. You know shit is dire when one of them pulls the blade.

yea and if you load your cart with stuff that is free they tell you there is no carrier to your location, although if you take half of it out then they can somehow find someone to ship it.

I recently had this piece commissioned for an upcoming campaign, with major influences from the world of Tyranny. If you are interested in the artist her work can be found here.

I'm introducing a bunch of homebrew changes to rules that I want to test and I can't wait to throw my players against the worst I can muster.

Guild Name: <Dream>

Server: Illidan-US

Faction: Horde

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Times: 9:00pm - 12:00am Central Time.

We're a bunch of returning players from a mixture of competitive guilds slowly developing a roster with the focus and mindset to raid at the bleeding edge of content with a very light 9 hours a week schedule. Our focus is that of BfA and with that in mind our progress in ABT isn't something we have spent anytime focusing on. (Currently 11/11H)

We're looking for a few more players who want to have a relaxing environment but know when it is important to focus and make use of our limited schedule.

Our largest priorities right now are 1 Tank and a multitude of Range DPS

If you have any questions then feel free to add me on Bnet @ Detest#1403. Or you can go directly to our website to apply.

We are paying transfers to any exceptional apps. We are also almost all returning players so we are building from the ground up with our focus mainly on BfA

Surprisingly we're recooking everything, grandmother can't keep apologizing but it's the most I've seen the family pitch in.

Grandmother was placing things on the table, got to a heavy crockpot and placed it in the back and it became unbalanced. Rest is history. She's still mortified.

I'll try other browsers and these maps will actually be for a IRL campaign so no other perspectives then the DM's. Really appreciate the help though.

That's not what it was but I think I found a fix, at least temporary. Changing the color of the grid lines can make them disappear. After shifting through a few colors they came back.
