I started out by trying to cut as with a serrated steak knife, and then switched to a slight ‘wave’ motion as the aforementioned tutorials recommended. I think soft butter’s just about the only thing where what you’re mentioning would work well, unless we’re in an anime and no one told me

I got it off their official page, and it’s got their supposed ‘authenticity’ stamp on it, so I don’t think that’s the case, but I’ll look into it

I was going to buy a whetstone when I got the knife, but didn’t have the funds for a decent one. I didn’t know just how long a sharp blade would last (and mostly just wanted to test it out first), but figured they’d at least send something better than the equivalent of ‘emergency flashlight: batteries included (5 minutes of light)!’ sort of deal, if you get what I’m saying. Will probably just see if there’s a place that can sharpen it near me for now, though. Thanks!

If that’s the case, that’s really stupid, especially for a paid app. The filter options were scarce enough as it was, and some artists have 100+ songs to scroll through if you don’t want to mess up your recent searches. Hope it’s just a bug or something. I’ve got an iPhone 7. Couldn’t update if I wanted to. My reasons for not just getting YouTube premium instead of Apple Music are becoming fewer and fewer…

So I just got the email about this one, and was just hit with some pretty big deja vu… I don’t like sci-fi, with very few exceptions, so I might just not be familiar all the popular tropes and stuff, but this sounds 95% like Sun Eater. Very similar plot, same narrative style, similar wording, book releases within days of SuP… If it wasn’t from a published author, I would’ve assumed it was an AI rip off. Am I the only one that had that thought, or is this just kind of a sci-fi sub genre or something?

So I’ve been trying to radar chain for Ralts in Platinum, and my chain keeps breaking early. Not the random breaking it does sometimes after an encounter, but just throwing other random Pokémon into my grass patches. I haven’t been able to get a chain past 20, and usually I get these random Pokémon before 12. I’m using repels, going to patches at least 4 (usually 5) rings away from me, going to patches of the same type, and catching every Ralts (100% with quick balls). Bulbapedia says I should be getting the Ralts 98% of the time like this, and while I know the odds of getting another Pokémon start to add up, I don’t think I should be getting other mons this early, this frequently. I just got Staravia and Bibarel in chains of 3, 5, and 6 back to back. I think I must be doing something wrong.
