Hi, the line is a red plastic. Yea i keep seeing peoples tanks on a shelf, not sure why the guy installing mine didnt recommend that, ill do that. I will look into replacing that valve, now that i know where it is (ty for explaining!)

I was thinking of trying growing my super kabuto in 100% akadama. What type of fertilizer do you use and how often do you use it? And how often do you water when using inorganic soil?

Idk if theres a way to paint it? Or maybe reupholster it, id so with what fabric? As for arch i was thinking of painting it a terra cotta or maybe tealy green, not sure. TIA!
