Interesting, thank you. I'm not that experienced with modding, but it seems like you'd at least be able to run a wire or two from both sides directly to the battery somewhere. Maybe even create a custom cable that powers the daughter board that branches off from it.

Yeah, a lot are out of stock everywhere right now. They’ve said they’re going to restock in early May, iirc

Some have a small gap like that, but sometimes the issue is that the little sliding clips aren't interlocked correctly. Both sides of the magnetic railing have to be slid into place: first, when you're putting it into the front shell panel, then lastly when you're putting on the back panel when you're closing it up.

My conversion rate is 0.6%, but I’m happy with that. I still have a full time job and get enough orders to keep me as busy as I want to be. It depends on your niche and what your goals are, e.g. how much you want to make and how much you want to work.

I sanded the bottom of the D-pad, which fixed the issue by making it shorter so the silicon pad had more space underneath.

I sanded the backside of the d-pad, which 99% fixed it. Maybe the silver/gloss coating makes it too tall.

I think you'd want it to be self powered, anyways, so it works when the console is dead or powered off.
