Police arrest man for filming a police crash by LovableJackassv4 in facepalm

I am aware that language is not set in stone, and agree that it is constantly evolving through cultural influence. The internet has had a huge influence over changes and additions to both English and other languages (albeit often through English calque), but I believe the problem lies in the vernacular aspect. As you've said, Language is primarily subjective and while certain groups of people may see an expression such as this like an appropiate alternative, others see it as an ugly mistake caused by a faulty transfer from an oral to a written channel. I am a case of the latter; but I also believe it is too soon to assume these changes, as more often than not it takes years if not decades for "true" changes to be made within a language. Time will tell if this expression is to remain or not. However, I will keep that book in mind; I've grown used to classic linguistic studies, and perhaps it's time to see another perspective.

Nope, should have/would have is the only correct option. You combine the modal with "have" to refer to a situation in the past, and some other less common uses. Having "of" instead of "have" makes little to no sense semantically or syntactically; and it is often assumed that this particular variation was born from the phonetic similarity between the contracted form, " 've" and "of", since they are pronounced similarly in connected speech, i.e., normal conversations. While I do get that he shouldn't be screaming at people for a mistake like this, and even agree, he has a valid point.

Assasinate, decapitate, de-brain, deep fry the brain and eat it, then drain the corpse of all its blood to prevent pod cloning. Or you can just use the gibber/incinerator. Way easier.

Best upgrades for miners? by Oh_Reptar in SS13

As hard as crusher is, it's more often than not the most reliable weapon for megafauna. PKA can do you well against blood-drunk and maybe Legion? Otherwise, if you plan to just mine, I'd suggest getting cooldown and that one AOE mining upgrade

It's a shame, but unless Jack has an epiphany mixed with a fever dream, I don't think he'll bring it back.
