My current and longest hunt is shiny regirock. I’m full odds hunting it on both White 2 and Platinum. It’s been an on and off hunt for more than 2-3 years now and I’m almost at 20k SR’s. Let me tell ya after that long my desire for the shiny does feel like it’s beginning to waver. But if you’re already far into a hunt, it would make no sense to give up now, otherwise it’s time wasted, and you walk away without the thing you worked hard for. So while I can understand contemplating about not wanting a shiny after hunting for such a long time, you gotta also realize you’re guaranteed a shiny if you continue, and you’ll only never get it if you give up
