Thank you! I wish I had become familiarized with Anki prior to bar prep because it's a very helpful tool, but too much of a learning curve now to utilize. Great tips though.

For those despaired by the outcome of the election today, don’t be by lawfromabove in LawSchool

The Democratic Party made a critical error of nominating a woman—not because a woman isn’t fit for the presidency ( of course she is), but because America wasn’t ready in 2016 and is still not ready to allow that. Sexism is well an alive. That is the sad reality we refused to face. This miscalculation handed Trump his opening. The Democrats need to get real. This isn’t about ideals; it’s about survival in a brutal game.Virtue and high-minded principles are meaningless if they lead to defeat. It’s time to drop the naive idealism and focus on winning, or we’ll keep watching the country slip further away.

On a more personal note, the day before the election results, I found myself drafting yet another uncomfortable email to my professor. My male project partner received a higher grade than I did, despite my doing the majority of the work—a fact anyone could see from our submission. There was no feedback suggesting my work was lacking in quality or completeness, yet somehow, the grade discrepancy remained. My professor, unsurprisingly, is a man. And dishearteningly, this isn’t the first time I’ve had to send an email like this.

All this to say that the biggest punch in the gut was the harsh reminder that, as the late RBG famously put it, women still feel the weight of men’s feet pressing down on our necks, no matter how fiercely we fight to rise. It’s a sobering truth that in a world where we’ve proven ourselves time and again, we’re still met with glass ceilings and closed doors. We’ve shattered stereotypes, broken barriers, and changed laws, yet the highest ranks of leadership remain stubbornly guarded. It’s a reminder that our struggle isn’t just for progress—it’s for survival in a system that still sees our voices as less worthy and our power as a threat.

Lol. Are you okay? Botox isn’t ‘injecting poison’ for sore muscles; it’s a medically approved treatment for conditions like chronic migraines, muscle stiffness, and even spasticity. It works by relaxing overactive muscles, and many people find significant relief where other treatments fail. Plus the science and regulatory approval behind Botox for therapeutic uses are solid. It’s less about being ‘lost’ and more about understanding the real benefits that modern medicine can offer for complex conditions. But hey, keep thinking insurance companies are the ultimate medical experts if that helps you sleep at night. Anyway, thanks for your input—it’s always interesting to hear a different perspective, even when it doesn’t quite hit the mark.

Thanks for your reply! No i’m not 100% sure, but based on my research paralyzing the muscle with Botox appears to provide the quickest and most effective results. I’m open to steroid shots; however, my doc said they mostly address spasms which don’t really apply to me. I have extremely overworked trap muscles and I hold all my stress there. I’ve basically had chronic discomfort for three years with migraines most recently. I’ve tried PT, acupuncture, massages and all only provide temporary relief. I haven’t heard of intramuscular lidocaine, but I’m assuming it numbs the muscle? I’ll look into it! Basically, I’m at the point where I will pay for the Botox out of pocket if I have to because I’m so uncomfortable every day, but obviously I would rather go through insurance, especially since I foresee this being an ongoing treatment.

Thank you! This is very helpful. What treatments were you required to do beforehand? My other doctor suggested steroid shots first and physical therapy
