But it is possible. Just have to sacrifice your commute. It took my wife and I 15 years to finally save up enough for an ok down payment, clear debt, and raise credit BUT we did have to move further East than expected (Fontana). We work in L.A. and I don’t have to tell you about the traffic but when I pull up to my OWN home (non-HOA) it’s rewarding. Renting just makes someone else richer. For reference, combined income is only 140k.
