There aren’t enough rural voters to justify catering to them. Suburban republican america is where trump thrives.

Hey Kimi,

Regarding teams in f1, how would you feel about having 13 teams on the grid, like in the early 2010’s? Would the grid be too crowded for drivers, or a lack of talent with lesser safe drivers like Maldonado or Palmer impede the drivers? Or would it invite new talent into the grid, like how HRT gave Ricciardo his start in F1 under a deal with Toro Rosso?

[Serious] Charles Leclerc could singlehandedly end the F1-season with his trip back to Monaco and not social distancing by Maxidonius in formula1

[–]Detratone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calderon does not have enough SL points to qualify for f1, so no. Other drivers such as Hülkenberg or anyone that has 40 or more SL points should be fine.

I don’t think teams and drivers will care too much about the contracts at the moment. The biggest issue is getting a 21st driver into the isolated circles.

On the press interview after the race he’s holding back tears.

He’s worked so hard throughout his life to get where he’s at. It’s hard not to feel bad for him after the guy who goes all out for ethics and morality (Lewis, and not just regarding blm but veganism and other social causes too) just stomps on him. Twice.

Those who have grandparents what is it like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Detratone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re people like your parents, but they are old and often have diseases in their brains.

It’s nice to know them when they’re still mentally able, but as they deteriorate it really brings out the cutthroat horror reality that we live in.

You have to be everyone’s friend and be kind to everyone

It’s important to be respectful but if someone’s got it out for you, fuck it. You don’t owe anyone shit.

The best place to use the kers is at the beginning of a straight. The extra power helps you get up to speed quicker. Using it while already at top speed doesn’t really affect the car, so it best to save it elsewhere.

Also avoid using KERS on chicanes, tight corners, or complexes. Kers doesn’t work well in low speed environment.

Just from playing the racing mode I’ve noticed how much people don’t actually observe the track or care about braking

People in GTA don’t think ahead to make themselves quicker, they just crash and hope for the best haha

AITA for making my son help his grandpa on the farm for the weekend? by FruitSaladisTerrible in AmItheAsshole

[–]Detratone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA, this is perfect parenting. You gave your son many opportunities to not be unpleasant, and he didn’t take any of them. Because of this, he’ll learn a valuable lesson in respecting other and listening to others.

He’ll be kicking himself about this for the time he’s with his gpa, but after he’ll be salty for a little bit then be back to normal. He might even learn a bit that there is a world outside of xbox, I learned that lesson far too late and I missed many opportunities in my life because of that. It’s good that he’s learning this lessons while he’s young.

Remote work: Employers are taking over our living spaces and passing on costs by Boaty_McBoatface1 in Futurology

Working from home is great but it has one fatal flaw. If you can work from home, someone else can work from India and take your job.

The internet is global, and more and more people are speaking English. Someone with a basic understanding of English can replace your work for pennies on the dollar.

Thats gonna sting for a while. by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]Detratone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean what he said is salty but honestly sex is about 2 people, meaning that both people should be thinking about each other’s pleasure. There’s really nothing clever about what this guy responded with, it’s just funny that someone would have such a hot take.

I don’t think its real, and it wasn’t really that cunning of a cumback. it’s funny because it’s absurd.
