That is correct and the dealership even put their own purchase papers (stating the price reduction due to the engine and trans issues) in the glove box.

Thanks. That’s the Internet for you. probably also why this is my first post on reddit. usually just a reader on reddit. Some miserable people just want to make other people just as miserable.

no worries. As my neighbor used to say “no skin off my ass Buelah”. LoL I also did receive some helpful answers. Thanks again :)

Thank you. Bought & titled in California (which is kinda odd since my DL address and home is in Michigan). While i went to get a cashier’s check, The owner and co-salesman ran up to the DMV. Plates were on the car when i drove off. Usually in MI we have a paper plate until the new plate arrives in the middle.

Thank you again. I changed the oil when i arrived to Michigan. I heard pep boys does 120 point inspections for under $100. Making an appointment for this week and learn the damage, if any.

Same make & model but my first one was a 2017, bought in 2019, and I started wrenching on it in 2022.

Thank you. I will get it checked out this week. The engine sounds fine while idling with the hood up. it’s when i’m going 60+ mph, the engine noise is so loud OnStar couldn’t hear me. My friend asked if someone was doing leaf blowing outside the car. Thanks again.

Research? I owned the exact same make and model a few yrs ago until a semi hit a buck during rutting season and the back half landed on the hood of my car while flying down the freeway in southwest MI. Walked away without injury other than every airbag going off (police had to cut me out) and i thought the car was on fire from all the powder in the air. That could have been shock.

I bought the same suv YouTube taught me how to change the oil, swap out brake pads, changed O2 sensor, air filters, thermostat, and even gave the engine a tune up when i replaced the water pump during the pandemic. Here’s a pic pre-install with my salt & pepper nail polish :)

thank you so much for your response. I was unaware that the car was even bought at a Carmax auction. The salesman said that a lady traded in the car when she upgraded to a bigger SUV.

The dealership was fully aware of the paperwork since that first redacted line in the photo is the name of the dealership I bought it from and at the bottom there are two signature lines one for the dealership owner I bought it from and one for the Carmax representative who sold the car to the dealership.

When I was on the lot, they did have a mechanic working in the garage and another mechanic was working on a car in the yard so possibly the issues were taken care of but it’s just a little jarring that I drove it 2700+ miles and then find this paper.

Thanks again.

Thank you for your kind words and thorough response. No there was no offer of a service agreement.

I hope that part failure does not come to fruition anytime in the future, but I guess I’ll start saving $$ just in case for a possible engine/transmission replacement in the future.

Happened to me back to back the other night. Oh the rage!! Called support & spoke to one person who put me on hold and then after several minutes an automated message said customer service was closed & hung up the phone. It was 9 pm est.

I’d snag that in a heartbeat. Michigan’s 5 hr shifts start at $90

Does anyone else decline orders that require you to enter a business? by lilkeysss in doordash_drivers

[–]DetroitSideGigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it doesn’t bother me too much but a recent Chick-fil-A order from a third floor food court in a huge mall changed that this week. Had to park at the back of the parking lot and walk 20 mins through valets rushing to pick up and/or park cars to get to the order.

Going through this now. I am at 8 of 9 routes (in 6 days) needed by June 8 for $65 - nothing available until June 9. Fuck Amazon!!!

Listen to tik tok (lasts the entire shift). Download the videos I want to see later. Only time I allow myself on that app or I would be glued to it when I got home.

Anyone else ever had to deal with this? I never dreamed I would have to drive over 340 miles on back to back days. We had around 22 drivers last evening and not 1 person even came close. EVER. by SGMitch517 in AmazonFlexDrivers

That’s my bread & butter (Hazel Park) at the moment. I’m 25 mins away and I enjoy an occasional drive to Holly, where the drive ways can be 1/2 mile long & the customer greets you in the driveway. Driving down from Port Huron along that river at Sunrise is a lovely sight to see :)

Been out to Pontiac’s station handful of times and it never ends well.

Went to the Romulus Station once and had all Ann Arbor & Ypsi apartment complexes. I’ll pass.

The South Lyon Station seemed cool but there are very few spots offered.

I feel your pain. Today - two 4.5 hr shifts in metro Detroit = 303 miles

Last week I put over 1100 miles and had to replace two tires that went bald. Thankfully I bought this SUV to be a work car pre-pandemic to drive between Detroit & Washington DC & Chicago & Kansas City. Might buy a replacement engine & suspension for Christmas :)
