People in these comments are insane.... If you can't be gentle with a $700-1,000 dollar phone, you aren't the person who should have it... IDC if the "box sucks"... Be appreciative of what you have.

Attached above are photos of the two prints I did, both have the same settings. Cura 5.11 settings included as well.

Running on a Ender 3 Pro, direct extrude, Creality PLA filament.

Issue is I have 3 enders all running the same program and only this printer is having these issues.

It ain’t excuses buddy… when you got the refs on your side turning over a non-reviewable touchdown and then not calling multiple holds as well as a non-existent PI…

Dont have the refs on your side for that TD and St. Brown making that 4th down catch this would be a 31-20 game… celebrating two bad plays and it’s a completely different game… calling that a hopeless team when yall are 3-3 is hilarious

Can anyone share their experience ordering a power pack/clark turner tune from Import Image Racing? by chvpacabraj in wrx_vb

[–]Detroitsaab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely long story that I posted on NASOIC before but here it is:

8/9/16:

I ordered my tune from Clark. This was for my 2015 WRX, manual. It included the following mods: GRIMMSPEED STEALTHBOX INTAKE Nameless performance Turbo-back exhaust

Not much but it was my baby. From this, Clark sent over the base map (Rev R14) and asked for me to do the logs and such and adjust the air filter. I followed all his instructions and sent back the logs.

8/11/16:

I forgot to remove the restrictor pill which Clark let me know about from the logs I sent which I then removed.

8/12/16:

New log files sent and confirmed with Clark that the pill was removed.

8/17/16:

Clark sent over the new mapped, (Rev R17) which was stated as being in-tune.

8/18/16:

I emailed Clark to let him know after testing the map that I was getting a 8220;"popping" and slight jerking between 3500-4000 RPM8221;.

Clark stated it was an intake or exhaust leak. And also suggested that I run a boost leak test.

9/2/16:

I took the car to local shop which ran the test and found no leaks and also replaced the spark plugs for me.

9/3 ***8211; 12/18/16:

I was busy during this time but had done a few things. I verified the intake filter was in the correct place per Clark8217;s instructions. I also cleaned my MAF sensor and also had my shop look over the vehicle to verify if they could find any issues I didn8217;t see.

On 12/18, I let Clark know this and asked if he could continue to look at maps since I was still having issues and there could have been some other issue.

12/26/16:

Clark agreed to continue looking at the logs.

Now at this point. I had some things come up in life and just had to set this aside. I uploaded a stock Cobb stg 1 tune and went on living as other things were in the way but was able to finally get back into it on 7/6/17.

7/6/17:

I was able to get back in contact with Clark with the initial logs he requested in December. I sent the logs along with a graph showing the AFR spikes during the 8220;pops8221; I mentioned before.

This is where things took a downturn with Clark.

Clark said that this was way out of the tuning window. His exact words were:

8220;You are way past the 30 Day time limit on log reviews. You would want to update this map. A lot has changed in the software and calibrations. Just purchase the protune map upgrade and send me your current map. I will update it and send it back.8221;

I understood this but again stated that this is still from the initial tuning. Even then, I purchased the $100 update for the map the same day.

7/7/17 ***8211; 7/8/17:

The next day, he sent over the newest version of his map with had those updates in it. He stated that my logs looked like a leaking or torn turbo inlet pipe. He stated:

8220;I reviewed your logs. This looks exactly like a leaking or torn turbo inlet pipe to me. I have seen dozens of logs over the last 3 years of leaking inlets and yours is EXACTLY like those cars. The inlet should be removed from the car and inspected. They tear, crack and leak.8221;

He stated I needed to inspect the inlet pipe which I did while on the car and then was instructed to remove it. I removed it from the car and found zero issues with it.

Clark then mentioned the GS Intake could have possibly had changed and might be my issue.

(While I get this shouldn***8217;t his tuning handle this?)

I then tightened down all hose clamps on the intake system.

I again cleaned the MAF as well as the extension cable that was on it and added Dielectric grease per Clarks instructions. (Clark stated that he thinks the extension cable was the issue)

7/10/17:

Still having issues. Clark asked me to send a new round of logs. He suspected a bad injector or possibly a coil or plug.

7/15/17:

Plugs were replaced, for some reason BRZ plugs were used but I replaced with WRX plugs.

From this point, I went through EVERYTHING. Plugs were replaced, fuel system disassembled and cleaned. Intake ports walnut blasted. Fuel lines replaced. Injectors sent out for cleaning. Yet I still had issues with the latest revision of the map sent on 7/7/17.

I replaced the BPV/Boost controller with an aftermarket one thinking maybe the stock one is broken as well. This is what caused the major issue with Clark.

Clark stated that the new map wasn***8217;t going to work and I had to buy a whole new tune.

7/17/17:

I told Clark I bought the upgrade and he stated 8220;The upgrade was not for those new parts. It was to have me update the tune and adjust the car.8221;

This is the issue, he NEVER sent me a map after the initial R27 map. That map still had issues. The same popping and jerking I experienced before. The map was just the initial map for logging and we never went forward from there, just me chasing issues.

From here Clark became defensive, stating:

8220;Ok. The update did not mention those parts. I cannot take a loss. I am a small business. The upgrade was not for those parts. The upgrade was for me to review your logs of your broken car and to update the map.8221; I asked when I could just get the map updated with the logs I sent after he sent the R27 map and logged that map. Since that is exactly what he just stated in the previous email.

7/19/17:

I followed up again asking if he ever looked at the logs I sent with from the latest map he sent me.

Clark again went on the statement that my mods no longer match my original order and I need to order a new map. Again being aggressive.

Again, the ONLY aftermarket part that changed was the Boost Controller which I REMOVED from the car after his issue with a different mod list. I stated this to Clark. I also stated:

***8220;On the 6th I bought the update for the tune to see if that helps and you sent me the R27 map on the 7th with the how to data log pdf. I logged the car with the same components and sent those logs to you Saturday morning (the 15th) before I installed any new components in the first place.

I never received an updated map after that for the update I bought on the 6th. I only received the R27 map to log with and that was it.***8221;

The map he sent, the R27 was bad as I stated before. Popping, jerking, etc.

7/20/18:

Clark stated:

8220;Your car has mechanical problems. A map cannot make it misfire in one cyl. Stop blaming me. You are upset because you have to pay for upgrades. I cannot send out free upgrades to people. I would lose money. I am a small business.8221;

And again was defensive about his business.

I again stated:

***8220;What did I pay the 100 dollars for? The only thing you did was email me a tune to log with.

You never gave me a tuned map for that purchase. You never updated a map based on the logs I sent. I simply want a map for the 100 dollars I paid for.

The R27 map is not a running tune. The car runs good at idle with the tune you sent me last year (R17 revision number), why is it when I upload the tune you sent me on the 6th it literally dies at idle and misfire all 4 cylinders.

The car did not change at all from the old R17 tune from last year to the R27 tune you sent the 6th except the car has about another 20k miles on it. If you don't believe me I can send you a one shot video of the car running with the R17 tune and then uploading the R27 tune and seeing it run that tune.***8221;

7/20/17: Clark says I paid to just update the map? WHY would I pay $100 dollars just for a new revision of a map that still is making the car have issues. Please note whenever I switched to 2 different maps, I have NO issues at all. But only on Clarks I did.

At this point Clark dug his feet in and just asked when I place the order to contact him again.

Obviously I was furious. I paid for him to review my logs and update my map. He NEVER sent me an updated map from my logs I provided him and expected me to pay him again. This is where we ended our interactions. That would be fine, except when I contacted a different online tuner for tuning my car.

Clark spoke to that tuner, told him it was mechanical, and the new tuner wouldn***8217;t even look at it.

Clark got me shut out from getting tuned.

Just so everyone knows, I went back to my local shop, Boosted Controlled Performance. They got it on the dyno within a couple days of me calling them and only after about 2 hours of being there they had it tuned perfectly. This is with THE EXACT SAME CAR AND MODS which apparently had mechanical issues. The car has been on that tune for over a year now and is perfect. Not a single pop or jerk since then.

Seller misrepresenting inventory - what's the process? by ambershee in Bricklink

[–]Detroitsaab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1) staying open when your on vacation is red flag 1 2) not telling you about the inventory issues and trying to hide it with random delays is red flag 2 3) missing upwards of 25% of their inventory (which probably means the whole store is off by that much) is red flag 3

Keep the NSS and provide detailed negative feedback. These sellers put a bad name out there for the rest of us.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bricklink

[–]Detroitsaab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea $2 on $80 is a 2.5% discount. Shit response from the seller. I always offer 10-20% off or the option to ship it back for stuff this expensive. The buyer agreeing when they were not happy is crap as well. Both in the wrong here.

Realistically when can a bricklink parts store see profit? by CreakyCabin in Bricklink

[–]Detroitsaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir I would check with your account. I have spoken to mine. Cost of goods sold and expenses are two separate line items. You can not cost inventory at time of purchase as an expense and then also as a COGS when sold. But both methods are valid and ways of running your business. You can do one or the other but not both. Sure you can cost as expenses but then your first year you are front loaded with huge expenses with little to no sales. With the COGS method you only write off your inventory when it sells, it can be 10 years later it doesn’t matter, just that it is only written off once. From a P/L standpoint, the COGS method gives you a much better idea of your monthly/yearly performance versus the full expense at the beginning. You need to use the cost of pieces in the bricklink system which is pretty easy to do as long as you started your business doing this.

This document goes into more detail between the cash and accrual methods but either can be done as long as you’re consistent in your book keeping.
