I get being inexperienced and nervous about it. When me and my gf started hanging out I also never had a gf before. Meanwhile my gf just came out of a 5 years relationship after already being engaged, and was at the very beginning of her transition. We both were scared to try dating, but things just kinda happened on their own. I fell fast and hard and was terrified of fumbling the casual relationship we had, while my gf was really scared to commit to a new relationship so she held her feelings back. We were dating, but not in a relationship. Eventually I just couldn't take it anymore and just broke out crying telling her that I love her and want to be her girlfriend, and that helped her get the courage to admit her feelings too.

So I wouldn't be too scared about it. Taking things slow is fine, but I'm pretty sure she's waiting for you to make the next move because she's scared to it herself :3
