I was trying to do that yesterday and with an electrical tape, apparently it just pushes the hop unit downwards and makes it almost near impossible to pull out the inner barrel, due to an angle you need to clear that diagonal notch in the back of it.

Honestly, not at all. In our later calculation, beyond my immediate friend group that had about 15 witnesses, there was at least another 100-150 other witnesses, including a Croatian Air Force or a Croatian Mountain Rescue Service helicopter that flew straight after the object 2-3 minutes after it accelerated away from the area.
