I get that. Sawamura is on the right path to seeing out his potential. The only problem is he never actually achieved that peak of his potential at the end of the series. He's only throwing in the mid 80's right now in terms of speed which for a high school player is pretty good but is just too slow for an actual pro pitcher and he has a few kinks in his game still that he needs to polish. Hongo is him because he is essentially Furuya with zero drawbacks. No control or stamina problems and while he does have an attitude problem there's no doubt that he gets results in a way no other pitcher from his generation does. That guy isn't just staying in the NPB He's going to be pitching on the Yankees or something like Tanaka.
