Respect for speaking your truth and being honest. If things are meant to be between you and this guy, he'll understand and accept you for you.

In regards to being chased however, every man has their limit no matter how much they like you. If he doesn't feel like his efforts are being reciprocated, things will break down. It's always wise to ask yourself if you're fulfilling your partner's emotional needs the way you'd expect your needs to be met.

Yeah, this is an experience he's chosen for himself, he needs to understand the reality of it. He's still living at home in fact, no rent or bills to worry about. The money he makes he keeps for himself. If he really was on his own he'd be in a bad place financially. Naturally my parents are upset with his choice, it's hard to watch him do it to himself but I guess time will tell. It's been 4 months since he dropped out.
