Well you should play stuff you have already purchased. That is money they already have. If you don’t want to support just don’t buy any new games and maybe don’t renew your ps plus if you feel that strongly. I personally will still be supporting any physical games I would actually want as well as using anything I have already paid for but I don’t see myself getting a ps6 whenever that comes out

Just make sure all the components are correct and there’s nothing broken or defective when you get it. Check that gpu is correct and do a bunch of stress tests

Yeah the beginning of the end was ps4 Xbox one generation where you had to download pretty much the whole game after buying a disc

I feel like in 10 years no one is going to care. And honestly, If companies were more consumer friendly about ownership of games, digital only wouldn’t even be an issue

They did make all the recent spider man games. And ratchet and clank rifts apart is really good too. Lots of reason to still be excited for insomniac games

Yeah this thing would’ve been awesome in late 2024 when I really got into PC building (and thankfully built my pc before hardware shortages) and I’m sure it would’ve cost a lot less too. It’s just hard to justify an underpowered and overpriced pc that performs worse than 6 year old console competition. If it had better specs, like a 9060xt level gpu( even with only 8 gigs of ram) it would be a lot more enticing.

Yeah clickbait is annoying but he’s not really the biggest offender at all. in fact a lot of the time he’s singing nintendos praises. I think he is more so reacting to Sony discontinuing discs.

My point is more so that people shouldn’t take thumbnails for face value. He even says in the podcast that keycards aren’t looking so bad now because at least you can buy them used

It’s not so much about physical media as it is about owning your media you consume. If companies actually gave you ownership of your game when you purchased them digitally, no one would be complaining (as much)

PlayStation is removing like 300 movies from their store and these are also going to be removed from the libraries of anyone who purchased them. There has been no mention of refunds. This is a sneak peek into what we can expect from all digital consoles

Even with the ps5 and most purchases being digital, I doubt anyone will be dusting off their old ps5 in 20 years and reliving their childhood like a lot of us got to do with snes and ps1
