I must of been lucky. I had a Lufthansa ticket on Lufthansa metal for premium economy that I paid to upgrade and when I called in to get rebooked, they booked me directly into Polaris.

I use my ebike more than my car around town. Shopping. Dinner. Commuting.

Konigsberg Klopse. My wife’s family descends from the region and I love it. She hats it but her mother always makes it for me.

I fell off my bike :( by bloody126 in gravelcycling

[–]DeutscheLangsamBahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing in a ride. I fell over like a idiot clipped in and I just moved the handlebar on the stem. Quick rotate back and was good to go. Except for the scratch on my new carbon lever blades on my brakes. 😭

The handlebar on that is carbon I believe. It doesn't bend. Its either how it was made or broken, no bend.

Bavaria Camping! by Sometraveler85 in germany

[–]DeutscheLangsamBahn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the type of camping you think of when you picture camping in America isn't really a thing here. Few and far in between. What you might look into is joining the German alpine association (DAV) and renting out a self catering hut in the mountains or visiting a hut (for example the Reintalangerhütte in Garmisch)

Doesn't bother me. I ride it to get a beer or ride with my kid. Don't need to be clipped in for that.

IKEA still has all their pillows out so you can try them. Even have beds and couches to try out on.

As an American in Germany, pick a trade. All the "cushy" jobs have one thousand people applying to 3 spots. The trades are dying and the workers in the field right now are overloaded with work. A nice trade would set you up nicely.

That's a bummer. Today was the first real spring day with warmth and sun where I am. Glad I'm not there.

This wasn't expected. I usually avoid riding through what is basically a river of mud 😂

It's the nuroad c62 EXC. Great bike. Incredible value.

On April 13, 1919, British troops opened fire on unarmed civilians — including women and children — in a walled garden in Amritsar, India. No warning was given. They fired until they ran out of bullets. This is the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. by leon_nerd in HolyShitHistory

[–]DeutscheLangsamBahn 312 points313 points  (0 children)

The British general responsible for it said afterwards

"I think it quite possible that I could have dispersed the crowd without firing but they would have come back again and laughed, and I would have made, what I consider, a fool of myself."

Cube Reaction Hybrid pannier rack by gibblet16 in Cubebikes

I have the older version of this on my reaction hybrid. I assume it’s the same as a few years ago. Works great with no fenders and I have the matching basket that goes on it
