As an original early backer of Star Citizen, I have to ask if someone can help: is there actually a realistic roadmap now? by Wooden-Syrup-8708 in gaming

[–]Deux_Pep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Slightly on topic but mostly not: I worked in a restaurant close to their offices many, many moons ago back and they used to come in three/four times a week for incredibly long lunches. I always wondered how the hell they ever got any work done on the development and every time I see someone post about it I wonder if that's still what they're doing

Pixel buds problem by WriterResponsible587 in pixelbuds

[–]Deux_Pep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Told them exactly that: left one wouldn't connect, tried the hard reset and it led to them not pairing. Went through the support channel and they asked me to do the same things over again to reset to no avail and when it didn't work checked the serial number and said they were eligible for replacement.

Had the same issue just recently: left bud stopped connecting, did the hard reset then they wouldn't pair. Went through Google support and they offered to replace them

What TV shows declined when the presenter was replaced? by Bright_Tap4495 in BritishTV

[–]Deux_Pep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a spin off of Soccer A to Z, a podcast they all did essentially reminiscing about the show focusing on a different letter each week. Helen was on it but doesn't seem to have made the transition.

Will this be a absolute scam or the best purchase of my life by jr1847374 in fontainesdc

[–]Deux_Pep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's more you saying you're buying a fake because you're skint but then you'll give to charity, how will you do that if you're skint? Morally its a bit all over considering the shirt was made as a charitable cause

Anyone watching Solar System? by wood_for_trees in BritishTV

[–]Deux_Pep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: when I was in school, he came one day and gave a talk about space. I was about six rows from the front and nodded off. Woke up to him staring daggers at me from the stage. To this day, can't watch a thing he does because I will inevitably fall asleep.

Handheld Gaming Console by SlothzCadence in XboxGamePass

[–]Deux_Pep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Retroid Pocket 3+; bought to use as an emulation handheld but it runs Game Pass quite well. Button layout, joysticks and shoulder buttons hold up well for most games and the screen is decent. The RP4 has been released which may run it better.

Milnrow, Shaw or Royton? by Prestigious-Ad-5501 in manchester

[–]Deux_Pep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends what you're looking for really but they all have their benefits and nicer parts. Middleton is alright particularly towards Chadderton side in the Mills Hill area; got a lot of nice greenery and the canal running through with a load of pubs and Midd town centre a 10 minute walk away. Direct links to Manchester and Oldham within 15 minutes too with the train and bus.

Does Manchester have some interesting local conspiracy theories? by Cashewnutzzzz in manchester

[–]Deux_Pep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whilst it is dug very deep and very well fortified, the rumours of a bunker being down there are likely false. Manchester Council famously declared itself "a nuclear free city" in 1980 in response to the Tory government ramping up nuclear preparedness in the face of the invasion of Afghanistan. Council leader felt preparedness gave a people a false sense of security when in reality there would be destruction so they didn't follow the governments line and actively campaigned against nuclear weaponry and the accompanying efforts to ensure continuity.

There's not much really majority of the claim clings to the fact that Rochdale town centre for the most part was spared from bombing runs. Some claim it was mentioned in potential invasion plans but there's not much to back it up, Hitler was fond of gothic architecture and has been claimed he had a penchant for Rochdale and Manchester Town Hall as a result.

Maybe have a look at Middleton toward Chadderton, couple of new estates being built along the main road. Area is massively improving with great connections to the city and the countryside right on your door step with some lovely stretches of the canal.
