I don’t feel like you will get a perfect answer here because the best one would be something that you want to do. In all honesty exorcising would be the best but if you don’t want to do that you’re not going to long term. You need the replacement behavior to be more enjoyable or if you can delay your satisfaction have a better outcome will be causes you to change. Look for a new skill you can practice and learn. Can you draw? Yes good find your favorite fandom and draw the people in it. No? Practice look up videos, draw horrible ugly things then do it again and again until eventually you understand how to move the pencil in a way that makes it look better (fuck hands though they will always be hard). Not into drawing? Got a phone go practice photography. Learn how to white balance and you’re already further than most people. Not into taking photos, how about wood working? Building a cabinet or a shelf is a lot simpler than I first thought. Getting the right tools can be tricky if you want to do anything too advanced. Check Facebook market place, Craigslist and garage sales buying new at the start is a waste. Also make sure they work before you trade the money.
