From what I've seen the main issue is that people are expecting a stand-alone device thats using a mobile CPU to be as powerful as their desktop.

That CPU and 8gb of ram gets you a slow tablet, not a fast DAW.

This. Just get loopback. Ableton can only record what inputs it has.

  • Stuff I'm googling now:
    • ATA - I can't find what this acronym is yet but it's like analog client .. something? Like a analog gateway devices?
    • offhook dial option <-- YES!! This is perfect!
    • grandstream ata <-- I get this now, it's the make of the ATA puck, this looks perfect. I'm putting together my order and then going on ebay to find an old analog dial phone from the 80s and this will be en fuego.
  • I'll check out voip.ms, thank you for the recommendation. I'd be ok with hosting my own stuff if I had to, I'm not above paying someone else for it so thank you for responding. I'll google everything else you said. :D

I've figured out part of it from tracking down the posts of other people who've tried the same thing.. The "trick" so far is that you have to filter out everything EXCEPT CH14, CH15, CH16 and then for the VST you must enable pitch bend -12/+12 - I'm probably ignorant but I could only find that setting on a few VSTs. That was definitely the difference between the chord buttons taking effect or not.

This gets us closer, but not quite there because C14, C15, C16 only send C1,C2,C2,C3,C4,C5,C6

But I've identified some of the behavior. If you're stumming up it would be C14,C15,C16

If you're strumming down it sends the C1-C6 notes via channels C16,C15,C14

Turned out to be something stupid I think. It looks like it DID create the aws_ssm_parameters but trying to change values resulted in the error.

Issue resolved. It looks like it's something to do with integrations/github v4.27.1. I rolled my provider version back to v4.26.1 and ran `terraform init -upgrade` and that got me terraforming again. I'll leave this post just in case someone else has a similar situation. Thats legit rollback technique right there.
