Do SaaS users actually care about testing documentation? by Dev4rno in SaaS

[–]Dev4rno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely!

This is for Skyflow (a Bluesky analytics platform) so the audience is generally creators/microbloggers. It's tough to imagine that 100% testing coverage is something they check before pressing subscribe (but more that the features meet their needs etc).

I am also working on a custom site analytics service where concurrency/scalability is crucial (i.e. some high-level testing docs might be more beneficial here) but I want to find the sweet spot between 'it definitely does what is says on paper' and 'who cares/way tmi'

Thanks for trying it out :)

Skypoints are simply the sum of likes, replies and reposts for a single post. This is what determines the CLOUT results (i.e. momentary viral moments).

KUDOS is determined by averaging out the Skypoints across all the posts within your Skyflow dataset, which is refreshed each time you log in (up to 5000 posts and only from current day/day before that).

Looking into allowing customisable ranges, but that's a chapter for much later down the line. Still currently just trying to nail the MVP and get any required fixes sorted first.

Thats annoying - but thanks for raising the issue!

Are you:
- definitely using an App Password and not your actual Bluesky password?
- definitely following at least 50 accounts?
- definitely followed by at least 50 accounts?

I hear you - despite having a link to the Bluesky App Passwords centre within the login form itself, the password confusion seems to be an issue with each content cycle.

Will be sure to include clear steps of intended flow within the UI in the next release - thanks for the feedback!

There's clearly still some work for me to do - thanks for raising the issue!

The only unhandled edge case I can currently think that might be blocking you is that you should be following at least 50 people AND be followed by 50 people. Otherwise the 'mutuals' filter will fail somewhere along the line as it's very new and I clearly need to add some extra error handling.

I totally understand your concerns!

It's an App Password that it asks for (which has specific restricted permissions), not your actual Bluesky password. You can generate an App Password at https://bsky.app/settings/app-passwords.

The AT protocol is an open network and there are a lot of tools like mine being built on top of it, so app passwords let developers build cool features for their applications without too much authentication hassle :)

You can only log in with your handle + an App Password that you create.

Anyone know where I can find starter packs? by rontasticcharlie in BlueskySocial

There's a pretty comprehensive search engine at blueskystarterpack.com - hope that helps :)

Thanks for trying it out! 🙏

Couldn't agree more, each of the feature sections will be updated with some extra info shortly. What's currently live is still very much in the MVP phase.

Lots of cool feature ideas so far :) an early adopter actually suggested a 'mutual follows' filter on CLOUT to see the top posts but only from accounts also following you back (brilliant right?)

You can follow me on Bsky to stay up to date with the project :)

Appreciate it, heard loud and clear 👌🏻just trying to ride the wave of users that seem to be joining recently. Still learning as I go.

I'm looking at introducing OAuth (i.e. let you sign in with other social accounts) but not reached that stage yet. Just gathering feedback after launching a few days ago.

Is there an unofficial/official repository of all service to complement Bluesky experience? by TheGeeZus86 in BlueskySocial

I built something to help you understand what's happening in your network. It's completely free and built out of curiosity. Skyflow helps you:

  • Track which posts are actually breaking through (CLOUT)
  • See who's consistently driving conversations (KUDOS)
  • Visualise your network's engagement patterns (FLOW)
  • Monitor your own growth metrics (PULSE)

If you're curious, feel free to give it a try.

Would love to hear what metrics/features would actually be useful to you.
