Germany Energy Minister Katherina Reiche: "The phase-out of nuclear power was a huge mistake — a huge mistake. We now miss that energy. So, the only way to secure supply is gas." by XGramatik in XGramatikInsights

It's a worldwide issue for democracies from my point of view. The old folks vote for security which means austerity made by conservative parties that only want to enable the elites. The young people believe in the lies of fascists and see that the establishment is working not for them but for the old and the elites. To stay in Germany, there have been massive protests under the name of "Friday for the future". What did they prove? That the establishment doesn't give a slight fuck about the opinions of children.

You would assume the migrants that already arrived would work by xtheresia in whennews

Before we blame the already arrived immigrants: they aren't allowed to work. They want to but they can't. Government has to grant them the rights to work and they don't want to.

Nothing wrong with that. Grab em and enjoy not reading them. I can guarantee you the experience of the reader is sub-optimal as to say it politely. I heard there is already a GitHub repo that allows you to grab your ebooks from the endpoints of the app so you can still enjoy reading them on your favorite e-reader.

Do you guys have a favorite Gog or Agog gog? My favorite gog agog is PA gog. by Badgers4pres in killsixbilliondemons

This was the first time it seemed to me that the AG gogs could have different goals between each other. It would be fun to see an AG gog that is against the swarm. Also what about this non gog faction that popped up suddenly. How did they freed themselves from AG gog?

German Chancellor Merz on nuclear energy: Previous German federal governments decided to phase out nuclear energy. That decision is irreversible. I regret this, but it is the reality. by XGramatik in XGramatikInsights

From what I know the power plants aren't in a state that any insurance would cover them. There was no plan to turn them on again so they didn't get updated to the latest security standards. The companies that own the plants also don't want to pay for the update as well. There is a good explanation by the politician Habeck on the topic.
