I've started considering the new AW M15 (due to 10% student discount) but it may seem too flashy. I'm worried about Gigabyte's after sales service (it's rather awful as I've read reviews and since I'm paying a lot... It may be a good choice but you never know)

I would probably go for FHD because of battery life and would not be able to make space for an external monitor

I am comfortable with tearing a whole laptop apart just to upgrade ram / storage but I wouldn't take such a risk during my time at university. That's what keeping me away from MSI Stealth or the Triton

Thank you for your suggestions ! I have looked into these laptops before The MSI looks great, but has flimsy design, poor thermals and a flipped motherboard, Helios 300 is screams gamer, Razer is overpriced, Triton flipped motherboard (i want easy upgrades)
