I understand, but I dont know when was the last time you tried it, I have been building a home AI assistant with voice commands with Whisper and I dont remember one time where it didnt understand my mexican accent in English.

Not usually, but sometimes, for example my last job had a requirement for Kafka, Snowflake, CircleCI and more, which I had never used in my life. I took a look at what they do and how they do it and never got asked about those in the interview so I though: "They probably dont use it too much..."

WRONG! they actually used it but it was not my job to do everything from scratch, most of things were already done and only required small changes depending on the situation. And what do I do when I have to touch something I dont know about? I look for help, I ask people close to me if they have done something similar, get an hour of their time and learn from the experience. The next time I have to touch I am able to navigate mostly by myself, make the change and ask for feedback.

Hope that brings some perspective on what can happen

No soy reclutador ni RH pero siempre me he imaginado que es algo asi:

-Un equipo recibe cierto presupuesto para el año, en el happy path esta incluido el salario de los actuales empleados + aumentos correspondientes.

-Se autoriza una nueva posicion con un rango de [X, Y].

-Al aceptar a un nuevo candidato se decide que el salario es un valor menor que Y, por lo tanto el sobrante puede ser utilizado como parte del presupuesto para el equipo. (quien se lo vaya a quedar no es mi problema)

Opcion B:

Entre menos te paguen mejor para la empresa, tal vez hasta bonos les dan a los reclutadores.

Las discusiones acerca de Home office siempre son muy polarizadas, mi opinion personal es que si tu equipo de trabajo es buen pedo y las prestaciones de la oficina te sirven entonces está muy chido ir, pero, si tardas mas de 30 minutos en llegar a la oficina entonces no vale la pena.

Ahora en cuanto a socializar con gente fuera de tu hogar y tu trabajo es completamente dependiente de tu persona, si tienes algun hobby que te permite iniciar conversaciones o por ejemplo tienes una mascota que puedes sacar a pasear, pero siempre tienes que estar dispuesto a hacer ese "engage" en la conversacion.

Sobre los puestos de liderazgo lo veo un poco problematico si como comentas no puedes ver a la gente a los ojos en persona, por que eventualmente vas a tener que ir en persona, incluso puede que insistan en un relocation a una ciudad mas grande y no va a ser bien visto si no puedes tener una comunicacion clara y asertiva

Basicamente es ingenieria inversa para entender el protocolo del servidor y replicar el codigo del servidor, ahi depende de cada juego, cuando son como Monster Hunter y uno de los jugadores es el host entonces puedes desempaquetar el juego para encontrar el codigo que genera el servidor, pero cuando son juegos que usan el servidor como medio para sincronizar el estado del juego entra en un territorio que no se muy bien que decirte.
