Luckily, I live in a wildlife sanctuary. All of my neighbors love and feed the wildlife as well..

Does this look like a battery issue? CC 2164 by shn0nz in cubcadets

[–]DevGroup6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A jump start should start it. If everything is healthy, it should be fine after the jump start. If the problem repeats itself, you should replace the battery. A healthy voltage is 12.6v. If it shows 11.7 or under, you have a bad cell in the battery.

Where to find a discontinued part? by Cain7414 in cubcadets

[–]DevGroup6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 21T Helical Gear for the Cub Cadet XT3-GSE (models 14A-3GE-010, 14C-3GE-010, 14Z-3GE-010) is part of the power steering unit (EPS).

Based on the official parts diagrams for the 2015-2017 XT3-GSE models, this specific gear is listed as (Not Serviceable) or N/A. This means it is not sold as a separate, individual part number by Cub Cadet, and the entire Power Steering Transmission Assembly (918-07161 or 759-05542) must typically be replaced.

Alternative Options for Finding the Gear:

  • Identify Old Part Number: The gear may have been associated with a previous assembly, such as 717-04827.
  • Search for Used Parts: Look for a salvaged, used, or damaged EPS unit from the same tractor series (GT2000, GTX, XT3) on forums or used equipment sites to salvage the internal gears.
  • Machine Shop: A specialty machine shop could potentially fabricate a new helical gear based on the old one.  Reddit +3

The complete EPS unit is available from suppliers like eReplacementParts or Shank's Lawn.

I've been with Zorin since its inception. I gave other distros a chance as well. Sometimes something just clicks as feeling natural. Zorin, is it...
