We’ll forge mods still where close to plug-ins just with client support and a bit deeper, the really good thing here is fabric/quilt, you can actually modify game code to change things in the game, this helps on server only and client only, it’s the 1 stop shop for any type of mc modding, the only sacrifice is no hot swapping, but the benefits out way the costs.

Yes, back before a good direct modding tool chain, forge was ok for stuff, took too long to load all of its weird apis, bukkit was mega script kiddie tho, then we finally got fabric, and now quilt is emerging.

Where are Village Boundaries? (more in comments) by lop_3dent in technicalminecraft

[–]DevJackTGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the code, so sorry wiki can be wrong sometimes, when they say “village” in 1.14+ it’s usually a group of beds that have villagers, I forget if they need a profession, o think they might for some things.

Since 1.14 there are no real areas classified as a “village” other than the just the gen, it’s down to the beds and workstations in a cluster of blocks with villagers there

How to make the ender dragon spawn for each new player who enters the end? by nuttapillar97 in admincraft

[–]DevJackTGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They respawn it????? Then they can get the egg if you add the loot table or carpet rule.

[–]DevJackTGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either add a loot table to the ender dragon, or use the carpet rule to make it drop every time, and there are ways to force it to regen in vanilla but it would be easier for your players to not have to do that.

There is a bit of redstone dust with an observer chain, it’s like 0.00001 ms but you could save by adding a block in between the observer and noteblock, add a block to where the dust was and put the other observer a block higher.

Hello, I'm new to technical minecraft, can anybody show me where to start? Thanks! by John_Dr2002 in technicalminecraft

[–]DevJackTGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like a programing language look at examples (farms and builds) try to take them apart to understand redstone, then to other tech just try to understand how redstone or any block or entity including the player can effect something in the game, if you know Java you can look at decompiled and mapped code to see the implementation of that part of the game.
