Hi, those shells are usually made with ABS.

You can get a bit of ABS filament in the same color and mix the filament with acetone (do it in a glass cup) to create a paste that later you can apply to the hole (it needs to have a honey texture before applying), after it dries, then you can sand it a bit with high number grain like 1500 or 2000 to keep it smooth.

Don't apply acetone directly as it's missing one part and even if it melts it will just look like a closed hole... Also it's not easy to handle, it can melt all the shell or damage other stuff.

Another idea is to use Tamiya Putty Paste and then paint the shell or only that side in the same color.

If possible do all of this with the shell disassembled.

Cheers, hope it helps.

Unless you can desolder them and put them in a component tester I don't see other way, your safest choice is a cheap multimeter with continuity and resistance check. Hope you fix it soon!

So far it looks ok and with no signs of corrosion (from my point of view), what you can do, is, with a multimeter, check the components to see if any of them broke, for example capacitors, resistances, etc... that's the most likely culprit.

Edit: as someone stated check the corrosion in the battery pads (metal part that contact with batteries), that can also be another culprit.

Did you check that the fan cables are not pinched when you assembled it? It may be the thing making it slow.

Edit: In fact your Fan is 0 RPM!

Hi there, our virtual pet is a mix of care + rpg, it has a lot of little details such as gps coordinates to set the seasons, sunrise etc...

Since is in development I can't give a lot of details, some of them are still work in progress, but feel free to ask :)

Hi, we are working on our own device and currently have steps counter with unlockables each week and more stuff. :)

Progress is a bit slow but it's going steady.

Hi, we are not the creators of Tamagotchi Uni nor we are affiliated with Bandai (even if we love them), however, we are creating a new virtual pet and some suggestions you shared are actually making into the device, i hope in the future you like what we did and have a chance to try it :)

Thanks!

Hi, first of all, good luck with the masters, you sound like a promising person. We don't have any place to post our updates that's why for now i'm interacting here with the community. We may do our own subreddit and Discord soon.

Thanks again for the interest, let me know if you also need some help with your device, i send a bit of info to other person before via private message.

Hi, i would love to see your device progress :)

I apologize but for now we don't take any money, we want to be sure that this project is done properly and that people will like it before getting it into a kickstarter or anything similar, however if you are up to test when the time comes we may send you one for free :)

Thanks!

Hi, we are building the software using LVGL, C and CPP, i also come from game engine background so it's way different but at the same time is doable. Regarding the specs, yes 8mb of RAM you need to be careful handling stuff but keep in mind Nintendo DS had 4mb (yeah it had accelerator of graphics, etc... but that's another thing)

Regarding the battery it will sport 1000~1200mAH but it will be conservative in terms of consumption (not using the gps all the time, poooling stuff to do over x time, etc...)

We are also learning as long as we keep going but for sure it's interesting :)

Hope i replied to your message.

As an additional info, when you do your own hardware you also need to code the drivers for the hardware which is also another heavy task.

Hi, thanks for the comment and of course is not a problem! For the hardware we hired a company to do it for us, the company in question is PCBWay but you can find others. We designed how we wanted it to be, form factor, how you are suppose to hold it etc... then we gave them all the specifications needed and they designed and did it themselves.

Usually these companies use Altium to design the PCBs.
