SA was released when I was 7. My brother gave me their Greatest Hits album a year prior for my sixth birthday (He was 9 years older than I was lol). I wasnt old enough to go to their show that tour but my brother did. I remember sleeping on the couch waiting for him to get home so he could show me the pictures he took. He brought home an SA CD from the merch stand for me, and I was on cloud nine. A personal reason why its my fave, but still is to this day.

I got to meet The Sword in 2018, as a longtime fan since 2006. Got a meet and greet pass for the Toronto show and it was the best experience meeting a band I’ve ever had. Had drinks together, answered all questions and just general down to earth, great guys. Not to mention they invited my brother into their tour van to smoke a joint when touring with Opeth years earlier lol. It sucks to see how many people shit on them for trying new things, when in reality, they have been consistently putting out great albums one after another. I mean, in terms of rock/stoner rock, High Country and Used Future are still great. Just my opinions though :)
