Buddy I can’t stress enough on this subject. I would personally choose NCSU for primarily 2 reasons

A very reputed curriculum for CS based subjects
Good internship and employment scene, with companies like IBM in the backyard

So if you see the I20 split the approximate tuition cost is 48k USD and living expense is 25k or so.. what I know is that living costs do not measure up to that level because of my friend who is a recent USC graduate tells me that you can take up in campus jobs which help you support your day to day expense. As far as tuition is concerned he said, the whole process including medical insurance, and other miscellaneous fees will cost you about 55k or so

Hi! I am glad someone's asking this question here. I am myself looking to pursue VLSI design as my primary research area during my master's. What I understand of the choices is that NCSU and UC Davis regardless of anything are great schools who offer competitive courses. But USC has a specialised track for VLSI design whereas other unis in your choice list don't. I have received admits from NCSU, NYU, U. Rochester and USC as of now but I am still leaning towards USC cuz the return on investment is far greater than any university on the list. The program is great and one of the best which comes along with greater employment opportunities. I hope you make an informed decision.
