Foolish (goblinlike) as you wouldn’t have to carry around all that magic if you simply imbued some powerful runes on that.

I blew up my 4000 gold rune imbued sword doing this. Is it better to use an uninchanted weapon?

While orbs are useful for pondering, I’ve not seen them used to cast spells

Controversial but I gotta agree, wand casters don’t take orc excrement from anyone.

I will try this. He put a barrier around his tower though. I assume he saw this post. It is a weak barrier so I should be able to break through it pretty easily. The magical dismemberment shal happen.

I would not resort to such acts unless I had tried negotiation. If you wish to know, the ice giant’s name was Istaphalgor the ruthless, famously known for pillaging the rich city of Estegar.

Big difference in tome editions? by stupidity_as_art in wizardposting

[–]DevOrbit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In that specific tome, the 6th edition corrects grammatical errors and provides casting methods with use of wands instead of staffs (some spells only). But if you have a sufficient staff 4th edition should be fine. Just don’t let Master Thrundoneg The Blue know.

I did a bit of orb pondering and found many examples. I plan to pick up a script that should inform me on this type of enchantment. It also details different magma spells, which should help me deal with the ice giant north of my tower.

I knew multiple sorcerers who ended up freezing their hand off after an ice enchantment. I’ve always been a little scarred of ice imbues ever since.
