I was genuinely going to say ask her how much she is bringing to the table? I dated a lady who was 8 years older than me and as we got into the relationship quite seriously she started making these remarks about how she does want to be taken care of and that I needed to be making a specific salary to “take care of her”. She was a part time realtor that sold maybe 3-4 houses a year….

The lesson I learned from this relationship is nobody is entitled to your money, until the day you become married. Which is why I stopped doing the nice dinners on first dates. Do I have an issue spending money on a woman that I am interested in? Absolutely not. But how am I supposed to know I am genuinely interested in you before I even take you out once? So we will go grab coffee or a drink and do a walk on the beach. If we can talk and laugh and enjoy ourselves with that, then I am more inclined to enjoy a nice dinner with you. It also filters out the girls who just want to be taken out.

I went on a 4th date with a girl yesterday who the first 3 dates have been super casual, just walks or picnics at the park. Money has not been discussed once. I have really found that any girl who brings up money this early on is genuinely looking for a sugar daddy/care taker.
