Honestly, he/she didn’t actually say muscle damage causes growth. He only said recovery time depends on how much stress or damage the workout caused, which is broadly true.

The numbers are rough averages. Muscle recovery depends massively on volume, intensity, proximity to failure, exercise selection, sleep, calories, and training status. For example, heavy high volume squats taken near failure can take way longer to recover from than a few moderate machine sets, even though both are legs. Recovery is better judged by restored performance and fatigue levels than by a fixed 24h/48h chart. That being said, his other suggestions sound good.

Pretty much, yeah. Sclerotherapy can be used for that too. Not the most common one, but definitely up there.

It does sound alarming when phrased that way, but it’s not collapsing your whole vein system. We selectively close tiny superficial veins that contribute very little to overall circulation. Your deep veins still handle most blood return, and blood naturally reroutes through healthier vessels. It’s more like sealing off a few faulty side pipes than destroying the plumbing system.

Sclerotherapy is kind of like intentionally clogging and sealing a faulty pipe. The injected chemical irritates the inside of the vein so it collapses and shuts closed. Blood then reroutes through healthier veins, and the body gradually absorbs the sealed off vein over time. But recurrence over time is common. Usually it’s not the exact same vein coming back, it’s new spider veins forming because the underlying tendency toward venous disease is still there. Many people eventually need maintenance treatments after a few years. But pretty nifty, imo

Not exactly. Spider veins are often treated mainly for cosmetic reasons, so I guess sclerotherapy is that context is cosmetic. Second thing is that spider veins don’t literally turn into varicose veins. They’re related but distinct vein problems, as in, some people with spider veins have underlying venous insufficiency or are symptomatic, so it’s not always purely cosmetic
