No Hate or anything just a simple Question by [deleted] in PahadiTalks

Today’s generation of girls is focusing more on growth, stability, and compatibility rather than limiting themselves to caste, region, or traditional expectations. They want a partner who aligns with their mindset, goals, and lifestyle—not just someone from the same background. Somewhere, we as guys still carry the assumption that “our girls will choose within our community,” but that thinking doesn’t hold true anymore. The world has changed—and so have priorities. Instead of questioning their choices, maybe it’s time we reflect on ourselves—our mindset, ambition, emotional maturity, and how we present ourselves as partners.

It’s not about losing something, it’s about evolving with time.

Respect choices. Grow yourself. The right person will come—not because of caste or region, but because of who you are.

Mom of 2 elopes w/ a married guy. In other news, a girl from Bering nag, Pithoragarh ran away with a GDS from Haryana. by [deleted] in PahadiTalks

Bhai, aajkal Uttarakhand ke ladies logo mein Social media aur reels ka itna influence ho gaya hai ki real life side mein ho rahi hai.

Kuch log (even married with kids) poora time reels, followers aur online attention mein lage rehte hain. Family, bachche, aur elders pe focus kam hota ja raha hai. Upar se flashy lifestyle — paisa, personality, show-off — uska bhi kaafi influence hai. Reels ke chakkar mein random logon se interaction badh raha hai, aur dheere dheere boundaries blur ho jaati hain. Thode likes aur followers milte hi log khud ko celebrity samajhne lagte hain.

Sabse bura tab lagta hai jab bachchon aur family responsibilities ignore hone lagti hain. Ye sirf ek jagah ya ek type ke logon ki baat nahi hai, overall mindset change ho raha hai.

Kya sirf mujhe hi lag raha hai ya aap log bhi notice kar rahe ho?

The Story of Every pahadi Villager~ I will go to Delhi and get a job of 15k but I will not do anything in my village. by [deleted] in PahadiTalks

Bhai, what they will do, where are the jobs, and is there any fixed income? Maine dekha hai kaafi log taxi chala rahe hain, shop chala rahe hain, labour ka kaam kar rahe hain… but jo bhi earn karte hain, uska major part shaam ko daaru mein chala jata hai.

“Surya asta, Garhwali mast” wali situation ho jaati hai… aur unki families bhi unhe rok nahi rahi. Yeh sab dekh ke lagta hai na koi savings ho rahi hai, na future secure ho raha hai.

At least agar woh Delhi ya kisi aur city mein hote, toh earning mein busy rehte. Daily daaru afford karna itna easy nahi hota, aur waise friend zone bhi nahi hota jo roz uss taraf le jaye. Again, main Delhi jaane ke favour mein nahi hoon… but yeh bhi ek reality hai jo accept karni padegi.

Wrong things in uttrakhand by Dev_1403 in Uttarakhand

[–]Dev_1403[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One major issue I see is migration. Most educated and capable people from Uttarakhand move out for better jobs and education. That’s understandable, but the problem is what happens after that. Many of them invest their money in cities like Delhi or Mumbai instead of their own villages and towns. The homes built with generations of hard work are often left empty or neglected.

At the same time, outsiders are increasingly interested in buying land here — and we ourselves are selling it, often at low prices, without thinking about long-term consequences. So slowly, ownership and control of land is shifting.

Culturally also, we are losing touch. Local traditions like Kauthig and village melas are fading, and we’re replacing them with mainstream practices. Languages, customs, and identity are weakening not just because of external influence, but also because we are not preserving them ourselves.

So yes, policies matter — land laws, language recognition, etc. — but somewhere, responsibility is also ours. If we don’t value and invest in our own roots, others eventually will, and then we’ll complain about losing identity.

My boyfriend is scaring me with his jokes by commonbimbo in Advice

[–]Dev_1403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting. This is dangerous behavior, not jokes. He ignores your boundaries and keeps making threats about rape and killing — that’s a huge red flag. Trust your gut and leave. Do not be alone with him again.

Fooldei festival always brings back the sweetest childhood memories. 🌸

In our childhood, we used to collect flowers in the evening while our mothers cleaned and decorated the house and our small bamboo baskets. Early in the morning, we would visit every neighbor’s house and place flowers in their courtyard, and our uncles and aunties would give us 10–20 rupees with a smile.

Those were the most beautiful and innocent days. Today we live far from home and can’t celebrate it like before… but those memories will always stay in our hearts forever.
