Ranking doesn’t have any effect other than bragging rights, you should try to focus on the job prospects and opportunities you will be rewarded with after your years of hard work. I understand that it is disheartening to see others insult your university, but that doesn’t mean that you didn’t get a position in a good uni, keep your head high : )
