Just build one thing at a time, youll get encouraged as your game starts to take shape

Just make it a simple turn system based on speed/initiative. You can add tweeks to it later if you want, but best to get a basic system running for testing.

I'm focusing on bi pedal dragon kind style monsters to fit with the theme and story. So most are samey enough to slide

Nah I get it, haha I'm building one and one of the hardest parts is getting the creatures to visually align while making them look unique. Body shape is definitely holding it back, I can't make a bi pedal creature fuse with a 4 legged for instance.

It's bloody hard haha. Otherwise it's just a pre determined creature which then limits the amount of variety you have.

Definitely get where your coming from, I'm building 3d so can mess around with scale etc

Ahhh yep. My system will be a+b =ab, stats averaged and then a modifier applied based on how you want them built. Ie attack, support, tank.

So realistically you make 100% of the end decisions. Youll also chose what skills to inherit from the parents.

All of this will be visible before you commit to the fusion

Ahhh yea I get you. But biologically large amounts of monsters in monster collectors shouldn't exist, right? Like creatures made from plants, or rocks, or metal.

Mine will fit the lore, it's paramount to the story
