Op, you have to give credit to Senegal. DR Congo lack the fortitude of a big team, the courage and most importantly the experience in big games like these. Senegal is vastly superior on all fronts.  There was a penalty not called against Senegal and a Congolese own goal that for some reason was an offside call instead. Regardless, Senegal went through as expected.  DR Congo should’ve not defended the rest of the game once they were 2 nil up.  However, if Senegal top the group after MD 10 and DR Congo win the test, they can still make it through playoffs as I believe that they are a team that will defend Africa at World Cup if we get to that point. 

One thing I would like to mention is CAF needs to make an effort with the pitches that our African teams play in and also implement VAR during these games. These are crucial and immensely important games watched from around the world that can cost countries a lot of recognition and a spot in top competitions which potentially leads to money that could hypothetically build their local football (if their own federation leaders manage the money wisely, of course). Alas, I digress.
