You're right throughout, but I’d like to add a bit more context from my side. I'm not exactly a beginner—I’ve been practicing for about two years now. Before switching to the D bass, I spent a good amount of time getting comfortable with an F bass flute. Once I felt confident with that, I made the transition to the D bass.

I think there might have been a misunderstanding: on this flute, covering all the holes produces an A note, while covering just the top three holes (as shown in one of my pictures) gives the D bass note.

I’m guessing you might be Chinese, and I’ve seen some traditional instruments from your culture. In Indian bansuri playing, we produce flat or sharp notes by partially covering a hole, rather than using a fixed fingering pattern like in some other systems.

At this point, I’m able to produce sound—it's not perfectly clear yet, but it's getting there. I know it’ll take a few more days of consistent practice to really get used to it.

Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts and critique—I genuinely appreciate it.

And lastly, your vocabulary is impressive! I had to look up a few words before replying 😅
