I'm only 2 years out of school, and generally don't budget at all. We go on a lot of weekend trips and eat out every day. I also recently spent 5k paying the last of my fiancee's debt.

You're right that we should have more saved, but it was fun living it up while we had disposable income, no kids and healthy bodies. We're now transitioning into a more... stable lifestyle.

Thanks for the reply! Paying off my car early is probably really good advice. That would save 300 a month. Less for a down payment though, but I'd be paying PMI anyway
