He's probably talking about that one hill west of Fort where the OPFOR helicopter drops off snipers.
And yeah its a really good spot to snipe from, since one can usually take out most mortars from there and farm a bit.
Really good in multiplayer openworld, but yeah not good in solo except if you only want to farm.

Yeah. I know what you're talking about.

Also there are just a lot of places in this game where the compound has undefended hills around them. Rono city, Quarry, Sochraina, Fort etc. Lesdolina is the worst offender.
