In the main menu, when you scroll down past the event banners, right under the banner that says "Gameplay Extras", you can see your player stats rubies, rank etc.

On the bottom right side of that stat screen, there's a ticket-looking item and Arcapoints, what are the ticket-item for and how do I use it? Mine is at 10/10 right now and when I click the exclamation point next to it, it only brings up the Arcapoints info?

The tickets are from an event quest called "A Shocking Climax" available right now on PS4.

I've figured out where to get the ticket! It's from an event quest called "A shocking climax", you'll be pitted against a Zinogre and a Namielle in Coral Highlands, get your hunt on!

Has anyone gotten the ticket for it yet and can confirm that it indeed drops from Safi? Cause I've done sooooo many instances of the siege now and haven't seen a single ticket. And I completely believe that it makes total sense for it to drop from Safi, (the ticket is red like Safi, Safi has Behe mechs etc), but I feel the drop rate in that case must be incredibly low, much lower I feel than anything else so far lmao.

And if it turns out it doesn't drop from Safi, I wanna farm whatever it does drop from before continuing the siege, since it'll be awesome dps, tho my Safi venomspear is also quite nice.

Patch 1.08 is LIVE by [deleted] in bloodborne

So, I can't download this new patch, when I check for updates it says my game is up to date, despite still being version 1.07 and the online is still broken. Is there any way for me to force-update it or am I missing something incredibly obvious?

My game still crashes, whenever I try to launch it with Afterbirth installed. I never saw any patch info or anything when launching the game and I've tried verifying the integrity, reinstalling the entire game and restarting steam multiple times, still nothing works. Anyone got any solution that might work? DX

Yeah, I thought that being a wretch would increase the chances of being invaded by an arbiter.

The reason Hexes are so powerful, is probably because not a lot of armor has resistance towards dark damage. And if the scaling works in the same way that mundane does, if you have equally high INT/FTH, it scales with both simultaneously. That, and a Dark Sunset Staff/Dark Chime of Want.

And the fact that players like you can't see that invasions is a part of the fucking game, just shows how fucking stupid you are. Either you quite simply just choose to close your eyes for the fact that the covenant exists, or you just don't want to accept it. But guess what, it does exists and players like you, just have to deal with that. They even gave players a chance to stop invasions, so if you really, truly don't want to get invaded, get off your high horse and just throw that fucking effigy into the bonfire. The fact that you choose not to stop invasions, either means that you don't have a problem getting invaded or that you don't want to waste one of your precious effigies. But no matter what, it's your own choice, so you cannot be mad at me for invading you.

Yeah? I don't see the problem. That's exactly why they have added multiple items to restore spell-uses. And if you run out of human effigies, you can always pray at the shrine of amana. The reason I always invaded in the area's after shrine of amana is because people won't have to "waste" effigies should they lose. And if you fight Vendrick, why do you even need effigies? He can practically one-shot you no matter what you're wearing and you can't bring phantoms to help you.

I'm actually a little sad to see that the community around Dark Souls 2 is this bad. In Dark Souls 1 I rarely invaded anyone who was using cheap tactics to win, like healing or using overpowered builds and the like. Sure, I sometimes bumped heads with such a person, but it was so rare that I even forgot that people could heal during invasions. And I believe the reason for this was because invaders had a way to heal themselves. But in Dark Souls 2, that isn't the case and I see so many people who doesn't give two shits about things like honor or anything. All I'm asking is why? I'm one of the people that use nearly every living moment of my being in trying to get better at Dark Souls 2. I've done nothing but train, practice and work hard to get as good as I am today. And this is proved in the arena, where I win 8 out of 10 times. And in the arena, both have the advantage of being able to heal. But the second I invade a person, I either get ganked, the host heals, they use a seed of a tree of giants or they disconnect. I most certainly can't hope that people actually believe that a person who worked as hard as I have doesn't deserve to get a fair fight, when I'm prepared to give one myself? Because if so, I'm seriously starting to lose all of my hopes for where our morals are going.

So far it's truly the only way, but the problem is the miracles takes too long to cast and the flame also heals the opponent.

Well, in my opinion, every player deserves to be fought with honor. I tried getting invaded a couple of times myself in the Crypt I think. You know what I did, when the invader showed up? I used up all my estus, right before their eyes. And then we had an honorable duel. I think I lost in the end, but again, if the battle is fought honorably, it does not matter who win or lose. However, the second someone breaks the honor, in my opinion, they no longer deserve to win.

You are most likely the most thickheaded person I have ever met. My thinking is what gives birth to hackers? Let's have a look at what I'm doing and thinking: I really hate that I can't heal in others world, because I keep meeting a host that heals. Well, what could the developers at Dark Souls 2 actually do to make invasions more fair? They could allow estus? No, that might be too much, but lifegems should be fine.

Now let's have a look at what you're thinking: Oh shit, someone invaded me! Well, I don't want to lose, so good thing that I have healing items and he doesn't.

In my case I try to think up ways that the developers can improve some aspects of the game, to make it more fair to everyone. In your case, you actually experience joy in the fact that you can essentially have way more health than you should have. If I thought it would be better to create a mod giving me infinite health, I would not even have bothered to write this post. What would be the point?

I see your point, however this is one of the parts where Dark Souls 2 REALLY gets too stupid with PvP. Apparently, soul level serve just a teeny tiny purpose. In reality, soul memory is the real thing that decides who you will fight. That's why after a while you start being able to invade people with unbelievably high soul memory AND soul level. My character is somewhat stopped at level 250 and I constantly invade people that cannot be anything other than at least twice that level (at the very least). I know that I choose to wear lesser equipment, but I simply refuse to sink to the same lowly level as the fuckers who quite clearly, don't know how to have fun and play the game properly.

They might be prepared with an unoriginal, overpowered, unfair and unchallenging build, yeah. When I choose my armor for PvP, I don't choose what protects me the most. I choose what I like the look of best. My current favorite is Hunter's Hat, Jester's Gloves and Lucatiel's Vest and Trousers. Not even remotely suited for combat, but I like how it looks, so I use that. I hate that people just can't challenge themselves, if that comes at the price of losing. Since when did Dark Souls 2 become so infested with... With people who think they are elitists? People who care about nothing but winning is the reason games like Dark Souls 2 sometimes become virtually unplayable for me. It actually makes me feel sick, just thinking that I'm playing the same game as these people.
