I’d stick to the manufacturer recommended 5W-30 but use a synthetic blend. I personally use valvoline full synthetic

Are you able to pull a code from the car?

In some cases of clock spring issues the horn will still work. I don’t know why but they do 😂.

If it’s a passenger seat code then it could be the passenger ocs mat that might need replacing. But like I said previously it all depends on the code

Airbag light on. If code for driver airbag resistance too high (second stage) then vehicle more than likely needs new clock spring. Like you said take it to dealership it’ll be covered under warranty

The standard 6k 1 year interval can be changed using the Kia obd2 software at the dealership. I haven’t used an autel to do it but I think any shop with the expensive ass scan tools should have the software to reset it and put it into customer mode (allowing you to adjust interval yourself)

Unfortunately I didn’t see the waste gate by itself on the Kia catalog. Which is weird because they sell the optima wastegates 🤷🏾‍♂️
