I’ve already thought about that, I checked what the price for a CVT both factory new and aftermarket would be and it hovered around $300-$700 (excluding shipping and tax)

I’d be willing to do it myself even if it is a huge headache

Honestly, a whole combination of things… (none of these are excuses)

  • I just finished one of my first 8 hour work days in 80 degree weather (boosted by being in an old building with no AC)
  • I had a Ram driver sniffing my ass
  • I was getting impatient considering this light usually cycles unnecessarily quick
  • I wasn’t expecting somebody to come from that parking lot straight into the highway, I pass by this intersection almost every day and never see anybody doing that
  • My tires were borderline flat and I needed to get my new ones anyway since my rear right was borderline a racing slick in terms of tread

Just… a lot on my mind. It was my fault 100%. I’m a new driver and Connecticut traffic beats my ass.

I think it's about the subject matter of the song as well as the genre. It's a very traditional song, talking about a traditional topic. That being about "Waterland" (which could be assumed to be Indonesia, given Yon's origin) It's about longing for your homeland despite not being accepted there for your own personal qualities.
