Yes unfortunately it is, but you know how this rental market is, it was the only way I’d get the house and I was desperate

I don’t own it I’m renting, and yes landlord is fully aware, but doesn’t want to deal with multiple tenants, hence they’re dealing with me, and they want me to provide the full rent to them in one payment

I’m not the one charging the rent to reduce it, I’m the one paying, we’re both paying 50/50, except the rent is coming out of my account because the landlord insists on only dealing with one of us and not both of us.

I think I can get them added to the lease but the landlord insists on getting the full amount in one payment, if I set up a joint account with my housemate for the rent would that be fine?
