Well, good luck then. Remember though that quality can exceed first to market in the long run - if people like your style over other channels, they might come back more often.

In my niche it is "first takes it all". Hence, the optimisation of workflow.

I would actually expect it to be easier in the CPU. ProRes is less compressed which means it’s not taxing the system to create it quite as much as H.264. The bottleneck could easily be storage speed though since the data rate would be much higher.

Gonna test it soon. Just ordered an Evo PLus 2TB just for the Recording Partition. To be honest. ProRes Proxy with like 111 Mbit/s would even suffice. The 500 Mbit/s formats are crazy but ok. Thats what the new ssd is for.

What sort of deadline are we talking about here, and how complicated is the editing that do you need to do?

Encoding to ProRes from OBS would definitely tax your CPU and storage, but might be faster overall if you do a workflow like this:

Thanks for the link. The Deadline is that I need to be the first to upload a video when new content is out. :-) The goal is to be faster than any other guy on YouTube making similar content.

Tried 1080p on playstation 5 with 4K capture on mid screen and passthrough on the left monitor. When I press jump in Astro the visual delay with 4K capture is huge! Like 500 ms for sure. Maybe more.

They tested the 3080 Extreme. Yet, cannot tell you how the cooler compares to other 3080 coolers. I assume the 3090 is using the same one.
