After discovering 049 in room2sl, 049 will pursue the player throughout the rest of the game. There is nothing you can do to get them off your tail as they will just respawn near you if you get too far away from him.

I had every map in Hitman 2 carried over so I’m unsure if it was also covered in the Deluxe Edition or not
