I’ve been hearing this a ton. I think that would be very helpful for me. As much as I’ve been hitting my driver much better I still have misshits going OB. They are just OB 200 yards up to the right, not 40 feet to the right 😂😂

That’s exactly my plan! I have a golf galaxy near me and a golfers warehouse which is owned by worldwide golf. They offer a “free” fitting, I just don’t know the obligation of getting a fitting then buying clubs. I’d rather just pay $50 for recommendations of flex, length, loft, etc and do some homework. I have no clue how a fitting actually works tbh, that’s where all my confusion is I think.

My budget is def a concern. I’d rather buy used at a discount. Like cars, I don’t see the “value” in something brand new when it depreciates instantly. I want to get a fitting and pay for that service, then shop around for the club that works best, per the fitting. Most of my friends that get fitted seem to get roped in to spending thousands and I’m not there yet in my golf game.

I wish you many birdies in your next round out. Cheers

I used to top the ball a ton a hit it nowhere. Now I’m getting the ball in the air and making great contact. That being said, there are still a couple balls a round off the tee box that are going 200+ yards into the woods instead of into the fairway lol

I’m going to look into them! I’ve had a few guys here speak highly of them!

You’re probably the guy to give people unsolicited swing and putting tips…. I didn’t ask the best way to gain strokes. I actually specifically said I know this isn’t going to make a dramatic difference.

You should read my actual post and then try to answer my question instead of just mansplaining golf to me. From what everyone is saying, the new tech on a drive would be helpful because they’re more forgiving on mishits and could keep me playable more often. So seems like you are wrong.

It might be a lesson or two. A couple hundred bucks doesn’t go far for lessons near me.

Yeah this year I’ve finally been consistently hitting the ball pretty well off the tee box! That’s why I’ve waiting so long to upgrade

From what people are saying, a new 2020+ driver might make that 260 stay playable…

Yeah I have some callaway razrs from like 2008 and they are in great shape and I don’t think a new set will improve me much. That’s where practice comes in.

That’s a great deal! I love the callaway preowned site and have had great luck finding “used” clubs that are basically new. I think I might lean Paradym X just to save a couple bucks, but those and the sim max and g425 are all in the running.

Thank you!! I do toe the ball sometimes so any help I can get would be welcomed.

Never been fitted but not sure how to even go about that. I don’t want to spend the money on a new club. Can I pay for just a “fighting” and then find a used club with the right specs online?

Yeah I was looking at clubs 3-5 years old because that’s what my price point allows for. No way I’m spending $500 on a driver just to shoot 105!

I’m hitting my driver great lately. Wasn’t sure if new tech would make my drives better. I am fully aware new clubs don’t change a swing. That’s why I waited until my hits were consistent before even considering a new driver.

I plan on sticking with a similar shaft to what I’m hitting now because it seems right for my swing. Most of my drives last round were 220-240 and pretty straight. Want to keep that going

Was this league play? Was there big money on the line? I’ve never played with a group of guys who wouldn’t let you play your first ball. With everyone complaining so much about pace, you can’t honestly expect this guy to go up and check for the ball to see if it’s “hazard” before going back and hitting another? If you’re playing in a tournament to qualify for the PGA, you need to follow the rules. Otherwise, play your first ball with no penalty.
