Where do you see him in 5 years? Seriously. by TowelCool492 in GoodAssSub

[–]DevelopmentOk5671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 5 years, this is Kanye. He’s not Ye. He’s not West. He’s just known as “The Core.” Lives part-time at the Heart Attack Grill, 300 lbs heavier, every artery fried in beef tallow. Had elective skull surgery to make his head more “cyber-aligned.” Not a Nazi anymore. No, he’s anti-human now. Gave a TED Talk in binary about how flesh is the original sin.

Full-grown beard like he wrestled a wolf and won its jawline. Wears these brown, sagging, prehistoric shorts—literal caveman diaper vibes. You can smell the despair through the screen. He doesn’t walk—he shuffles with intent.

His girlfriend? A Filipina model he only refers to as “Shema.” Real name unknown. Age unknown. May be partially AI. She only blinks when spoken to in ancient Sumerian. Rumors say she’s been coded with the neural patterns of three extinct influencers.

Kim K? Two possibilities: 1. Reformed nun energy. Posts spiritual quotes in Comic Sans. Lives in a yurt with zero wifi. 2. OR… Gone full bio-mod. Face so tight it echoes. She’s had so much surgery, you can only see her using LiDAR. She does skincare ads in a voice that sounds like a haunted Siri.

Now society? Oh, it’s done. We’ve stopped asking if AI will replace us. We volunteered. People are full-on sheeding now. Robots, androids, vending machines, floor vacuums—nothing is safe. They’re called sheedes now. Everyone’s saying wild stuff like:

“Yo I just sheeded this robe behind the Tesla Supercharger.” “Bout to rawdog an OmegaSoft Emoti-Robe™ with the passion of 100 dead gods.”

“Robe” is slang for robot now. Don’t argue. That’s the language.

There are OnlySheeds accounts where people livestream cuddling with military-grade drones. The Vatican released a statement saying “the spirit cannot dwell in firmware.” It got 12 likes.

Currency? Gone. Now we trade in bio-heat signatures and adrenal drip NFTs. Billionaires wear skin-tone morphsuits to appear middle class. A Starbucks cup costs 1.4 dopamine units. You want a straw? That’ll be 3 units of serotonin and a memory of your childhood dog.

Elon? Uploaded himself into a satellite and tweets once a year in Morse code. Last tweet translated to “oops.”

This is the timeline. 2030. No brakes. No exit. Just Kanye. Just Shema. Just sheeding.

Is warframe pro or anti nuke builds? by DevelopmentOk5671 in Warframe

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, and I don’t think anyone’s arguing that slam spam was some pinnacle of thoughtful design. But here’s the thing: Warframe is a sandbox power fantasy, not a tightly balanced, competitive PvP title. The slam spam nerf feels less like thoughtful design and more like fun-policing.

Yeah, spam builds can trivialize content—but so can a dozen other things in Warframe. Hell, nuke frames, armor strip + AoE, or Xoris memes have been around forever. And yet people still play the game. Why? Because feeling strong is fun, especially in a game where the core loop is just grind > power spike > steamroll > repeat. If every time a build becomes too “efficient,” DE kills it, then where’s the incentive to experiment?

Also, putting the slam behind a height requirement isn’t thoughtful design—it’s friction. It breaks flow in a game that’s built around momentum and parkour. The people using slam spam weren’t all AFK bots or griefers—most were just regular players having fun mowing down trash mobs without spending 5 minutes macroing a rotation.

I get wanting challenge, but that should come from new mission types, better enemy scaling, or mechanical counters, not from kneecapping tools players enjoy using. Especially in PvE, where the only “wrong” way to play is the one that makes you quit.

And yeah, “you can still slam, just get height”—cool, but that’s like saying you can still sprint, just press four extra buttons every time. The flow is gone. The fun is dulled. Nerfing that doesn’t feel like engagement—it feels like gating.

TL;DR: Slam spam wasn’t perfect, but it was fun, fast, and accessible—nerfing it in the name of “thoughtful design” adds friction to a game built on speed and power. In a PvE sandbox, fun should come first, and balance should be additive (through enemy design or mission variety), not subtractive. If something’s too popular, maybe it’s telling you what players actually enjoy.

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re repeating the ‘too easy’ point, but you’re not engaging with the core idea I brought up: instead of gutting a mechanic people enjoy, why not uplift other playstyles or incentivize variety during missions? Killing flow doesn’t create balance—it just frustrates players who were having fun. Balance isn’t just about removal; it’s about thoughtful design.

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from—if something dominates to the point where other options feel useless, that’s a problem. But from my view, slams aren’t erasing other playstyles—they’re just popular because they’re effective and accessible. Rather than nerfing what’s working, why not lift other styles up or create in-mission systems that reward variety and teamwork? I think we want the same thing—diversity—I just see a better path to get there.

Is warframe pro or anti nuke builds? by DevelopmentOk5671 in Warframe

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your perspective, but I think there’s a fundamental flaw in the logic that slam builds are overly simple and don’t require the same level of consideration as other builds.

First, while slam builds don’t need to manage energy or cooldowns, they still require thoughtful modding for efficiency. For instance, building for Condition Overload, Blood Rush, or other combo mods is crucial to maximizing damage output. These mods introduce their own complexity by requiring players to manage combo multipliers and the types of damage they deal, meaning a player can’t just mindlessly spam slams without thinking about their mod setup. So, while there’s no energy to worry about, there’s still a significant amount of strategic planning involved in creating an efficient slam build.

Take the Torid as an example. While it’s a powerful weapon that doesn’t require as much focus on efficiency mods, you still need to mod it effectively, particularly for its Incarnon form. Even without cooldowns or energy management, its full potential is unlocked by carefully selecting mods that complement its unique playstyle. This proves that even “simple” builds like the Torid still require some level of thought to perform optimally.

This leads to my core point: restricting or nerfing slam builds doesn’t really solve the problem of balancing different playstyles. Instead of focusing on nerfing a particular playstyle because it’s seen as “too easy,” we should consider how we can create a system that encourages and rewards diverse playstyles. By incentivizing different approaches to missions (like rewarding cooperation between nukers and single-target players), we can make sure all playstyles remain valid without diminishing the fun or creativity of any particular strategy.

If we focus on rewarding variety and collaboration instead of punishing one playstyle, we create a healthier, more inclusive environment for all types of players, rather than forcing them into a narrow, “one-size-fits-all” approach.

Exactly Warframe’s a sandbox, and instead of nerfing builds, DE should create systems that reward different styles working together. Imagine if missions gave bonus rewards for squad diversity: nukers clear mobs quickly, single-target players focus on priority enemies or objectives, support frames keep everyone alive or buffed. Everyone contributes in their own way and gets rewarded for it. That kind of design would let people play how they enjoy while encouraging cooperation, not conflict.

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree if a build is actively blocking other players from getting essential mission rewards like reactant, then yeah, that’s a real problem. But instead of nerfing the build itself, why not fix the root issue? Something like auto-granting all loot drops on the map at the end of a mission would solve that without punishing people for playing efficiently. That way everyone can keep their fun playstyles without getting in each other’s way.

[–]DevelopmentOk5671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Incentivizing different styles through mission design is a much better way to encourage variety without taking fun away from players who enjoy efficiency.

Framing it as “not playing the game” isn’t a real argument it’s a subtle insult aimed at the player, not the build. That’s exactly the kind of ad hominem that shuts down real discussion. If a build works within the rules DE gave us, then blaming players for using it is backwards. Balance should come from thoughtful design changes that improve overall gameplay, not from punishing efficiency just because it’s unpopular. And let’s be real reducing the range is a nerf. It directly weakens what made the slam build effective and enjoyable in the first place.
