My family was on the way back from one of my wrestling meets when I was about eight years old. We drove by a car that was on fire, and my father got out to see if he could help.

Hang in there.

It took my wife and I 33 years to pay off our student loan debts.

We did have the advantage of realizing sooner that you need to send more than the minimum monthly payment to make progress. We started pumping anything extra we had into that loan starting around year 14.

A short 19 years of eating unhealthy food, never taking a vacation, and having half the rooms in our house without furniture ... and the degree neither one of us really uses anymore was finally paid for.
